HEAL NC Privacy Policy

Effective as of March 31, 2021, HEAL NC, has updated the Privacy Policy.


Introduction - HEAL NC or Heath Empowerment Action League of North Carolina collectively called (“HEAL NC”) operates a website www.healnc.net (the “Website”) and uses the Krunchola App (the Social Platform). It is HEAL NC's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our Website and Social Platforms.


This Policy describes how HEAL NC collects, uses, shares, and secures the personal information you provide. It also describes your choices regarding the use, access, and correction of your personal information.


Your privacy is critically important to us. At HEAL NC we have a few fundamental principles:

  • We don't share your personal information with anyone outside of our organization except to comply with the law or protect our rights.
  • We don't store personal information outside of our secure CRM database, ZOHO, unless required for the on-going operation of one of our projects..

This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, the files viewed on our site (e.g. HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer the site.

Gathering of Personal Information - Certain visitors to HEAL NC's website choose to interact with HEAL NC in ways that require HEAL NC to gather personal information. The amount and type of information that HEAL NC gathers depend on the nature of the interaction. We may ask you for referrals of friends or family that may be interested in joining our Health Freedom Movement. You do not have to disclose any information if you choose not to.

Aggregated Statistics - HEAL NC may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors on its Website. However, HEAL NC does not disclose personal information other than as described below.


Sharing of Certain Personal Information - HEAL NC discloses personal information only to those volunteers who are approved leaders within the organization. Your information is stored on our secure CRM database, ZOHO.


Members of ZOHO, our CRM program, are worldwide and may be located outside your home country; by using HEAL NCs website and CRM, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. HEAL NC will not rent or sell personal information to anyone. Apart from its volunteers, as described above, HEAL NC discloses personal information only when required to do so by law. If you are a registered user of the HEAL NC Website and have supplied your email address, HEAL NC may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new events, or initiatives, to solicit your feedback, or just to keep you updated with what's going on with HEAL NC and the Health Freedom Movement. You may also sign up to receive newsletters or other communications from us. If you would like to discontinue receiving this information, you may update your email preferences by using the “Unsubscribe” link placed in the emails we send to you, or at your member profile on our website, or by contacting us at info@healnc.net.


We primarily use our Website and Social Platforms to communicate this kind of information, so we expect to keep these kinds of emails to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example, via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to contact you to respond to your request or to help us support other members. HEAL NC takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of personal information.


Retention of Personal Information - We will retain your personal information for as long as a volunteer or party is interested or as needed to stay connected. We will retain Your Data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, maintain accurate member and other records, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Correction or Removal of Personal Information - Upon request, HEAL NC will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information.
